About college Netball:

Kapiti College teams play in the Netball Kapiti league at Te Atiawa Courts every Saturday from the 3rd May until the 31st August. The teams may also choose to compete in extra one day tournaments if agreed by the players, parents and coach (the college sports fees do not cover the extra cost for these).

About Senior A team:

Competes every Saturday in the Kapiti Netball winter league at Te Atiawa Courts.
CSW RSSL - Starts 16th June - Terms 2 and 3
CSW Senior A Competition RSSL on Monday nights, venues either Queen Margarets in Wellington or St Oran's in Lower Hutt
RSSL Finals - 18 August - at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre
Thurs 7th August 2025 - Term 3
CSW Senior A Premier Tournament, Ākau Tangi Sports Centre (Kilbirnie)
Freyberg exchange - Details TBC - Term 3

About Junior A team:

Every Saturday competes in the Kapiti Netball league at Te Atiawa Courts
Central 6 - 22nd July - Kapiti college and 5 other college get together for a competition day - 2025 is hosted by Kapiti College - Netball comp will be at Te Atiawa courts
5th June 2025 - CSW Junior A tournament - representing the college at the CSW Junior A Tournament one day tournament at the ASB Centre - Ākau Tangi Sports Centre (Kilbirnie)
The team may also choose to compete in extra tournaments if agreed by the players, parents coaches, manager and school.

Saturday compulsary umpiring duties:

Teams plaing in Senior A and above are expected to complete a free umpiring training course and test. This is to help prepare you for your umpiring duties each Saturday throughout the season.

Heja:

We are using the sports management app heja - this will be our main form of communication throughout the season. We will schedule all team games, training dates and times in this app throughout the season.

Scorers needed:

Live game day scorers are required to complete the live scoring on a Saturday - if you're already planning on attending on a Saturday to watch a game please offer to help score your players game. Download my netball manager - scorers codes will come out about a week before the start of the season.

Tournament week for Premier 1 team LNISS Winter Tournament week costs per student approx $1000. Fundraising required by team.

Netball fees cover club rego fee, uniform unkeep, and training equipment.

Equipment:

Each team is provided with a team training gear bag – containing training and match balls, a set of training bibs, dots or cones and a set of plasters.
Game day uniform is supplied by the college
- all uniforms must be well looked after and returned at the end of the season - if not returned at the end of the season you will be charged the cost to replace it.
Individual players must provide their own drink bottles and netball court sports shoes.

Game day uniform rules:

Wear black shorts under your netball uniform of a similar length to your dress. Not full length tights or leggings that reach down to the knees.
Long sleeved black thermal, exercise tops are allowed to be worn under your Netball dress.
Teams must wear white ankle socks.
Hair tied up and nails trimmed before games.
NO jewellery can be worn during a game, NO exceptions.

Commitment to your sports team:
When you join a sports team, you must be fully committed to the team and attend all trainings and games. If you can't attend training or your game it is your responsibility to tell your coach/manager.
