​​​​​​​About Senior A team:

  • Competes every Saturday in the Kāpiti Netball league at Te Atiawa Courts. The team also competes in extra competitions including RSSL on Monday nights at different Lower Hutt and Wellington college locations, the CSW one day tournament at the ASB Centre (Kilbirnie), Central 6, Freyberg exchange, and the Winter Tournament which is being hosted by Wellington at the ASB Centre.


About Junior A team:

  • Competes every Saturday in the Kāpiti Netball league at Te Atiawa Courts as well as representing the college at the CSW one day tournament at the ASB Centre (Kilbirnie). The team may also choose to compete in extra tournaments if agreed by the players, parents and coach. 

Saturday compulsary umpiring duties:

  • Teams plaing in Senior A and above are expected to complete a free umpiring training course and test. This is to help prepare you for your umpiring duties each Saturday throughout the season.


Heja: 

  • We are using the sports management app heja - this will be our main form of communication throughout the season. We will schedule all team games, training dates and times in this app throughout the season.

Scorers needed

  • Game day scorers are required to complete the live scoring on a Saturday - if you're already planning on attending on a Saturday please offer to help score your players game. Download my netball manager - scorers codes will come out about a week before the start of the season.

All outstanding 2024 sports fees must be paid to be eligible to be in a 2025 team.

Cost:

  • $210pp Premiere 1 Team (Senior A)
  • Tournament week for Premier 1 team LNISS winter tournament week cost per student approx $1000. Fundraising required by team.

  • $115pp All other teams

  • Automatic payments can be set up with the finance office.

Netball fees cover club rego fee, uniform unkeep​​​​, and training equipment.

Equipment:

  • Each team is provided with a team training gear bag – containing training and match balls, a set of training bibs, dots or cones and a set of plasters.

  • Each player is issued a netball dress by Ali Fitzmaurice, our sports director, uniforms must be well looked after and returned at the end of the season - otherwise we'll assume you want to purchase your dress and we'll ad the $70 uniform charge to your account.

  • Individual players must provide their own drink bottles and netball court sports shoes.

Game day uniform rules: 

  • Wear black shorts under your netball uniform of a similar length to your dress. Not full length tights or leggings that reach down to the knees.
  • Long sleeved black thermal, exercise tops are allowed to be worn under your Netball dress.
  • Teams must wear all white ankle socks 
  • Hair tied up and nails trimmed before games.
  • NO jewellery can be worn during a game, NO exceptions. Umpires will not let you take the court if you are wearing jewellery. Tapping is not an acceptable solution.

About college Netball:

  • Kāpiti College teams play in the Netball Kāpiti league at Te Atiawa Courts every Saturday from the 29th of April until the 9th of September. The teams may also choose to compete in extra one day tournaments if agreed by the players, parents and coach (the college sports fees do not cover the cost).

19th July   -  🏐 Kapiti College on the BBQ 🏐- Our Senior A team will be fundraising - come support them

Commitment to your sports team:
When you join a sports team, you must be fully committed to the team and attend all trainings and games. If you can't attend training or your game it is your responsibility to tell your coach/manager.
